Nikon D40 tells me available but store says its not.

The person I spoke to on the phone acted like they knew nothing of searsoutlet.com and that I should order it online because they don't have any stock of this item.

Listing items that don't exist. I guess it is to good to be true just as all the other posts on here indicating the item was not available. I guess it is a good thing I didn't drive the hour one way. It also says it is available at another store that is a 2 hour drive one way for me, I haven't even though about calling them because of my ordeal with this store.... Why are things being advertised that don't exist either that or the store has no clue....

I have to eat my words. My wife was going that direction so I had her stop in there and she was able to find it in the counter.... Whoo Hoo!!!

Glad you ended up getting the deal. We obviously still need to address store associate knowledge about the site and i will follow up on the store. If you have information on which associate you spoke to, please PM me that information

Actually I don't have the associates name. I asked him if they had the particular product and he went away and came back and said they don't have any of that product and that I should try to buy it online. I explained to him that this may be a return or an open box type item that I am seeing on searsoutlet and that it was supposed to be at his store and he said that I should buy it online where I am seeing it and that they didn't have any. lol.

Ok - well I have asked the store management team to address broadly with the entire store team. We certainly don't want to disappoint customers and for the store it is just a lost sale.
